The Ostrich Inn free-house is owned and run by Simon and Emma Gardner who are both locals to South Creake, and is set in the heart of north west Norfolk with fantastic countryside, beaches and wildlife. It has been trading as a public house since it was built in the 1680's and is a Grade II listed building. As you arrive you are greeted with a warm welcome and a friendly atmosphere. The interior of the Pub has recently been redecorated to create a brighter friendlier atmosphere to eat, drink and relax.

The bar and restaurant menus offer something to suit all tastes, including meat dishes, vegetarian and fish dishes, and is freshly cooked and prepared each day by our experienced chef. If you have a special dietary requirement or wish to have a dish prepared in a different way to the menu we will always do our best to accommodate.

The Pub is wheel chair friendly with wheel chair access at the back door, and disabled toilets. Children and well behaved dogs that are kept on leads are welcome.

The Ostrich Inn has three rooms, available for bed and breakfast throughout the year, comprising of two King size bedrooms and one twin room which are all en-suite including shower, toilet and wash basin. We endeavour to provide our guests with as much independence as possible during their stay; all the rooms have independent access and contain kitchenettes. The two King sized bedrooms are on the first floor and the twin is on the ground floor with adequate wheelchair access.

The refurbished bedrooms have been individually furnished to make every guest's stay an extremely pleasant and comfortable one, all rooms are en-suite and have tea / coffee making facilities, TV and direct dial telephones.

We offer a relaxed atmosphere in our accommodation which is situated in a former stable detatched, ground floor block behind the pub, and have 2 double / twin rooms with en-suite showers, equipped with colour television and tea and coffee making facilities.

Our traditional family run freehouse is situated between the sea and the Norfolk broads, 1 mile from the sea and 6 miles from North Walsham, so is suitable for walkers twitchers , holidaymakers or people just looking to relax.

The cosy bar has a choice of real ales and a selection of foods and wines from around the world.

The Chequers Inn is ideally situated for visitors who enjoy walking and exploring beautiful countryside. The Inn is hidden amongst trees on the edge of Thompson Village. It takes it's name, we believe, from the method used in earlier times of counting money on a chequered cloth.

The Inn was originally built in the 16th century and still holds some original features, such as exposed beams, timber and a thatched roof swooping almost to the ground. Manor courts were held here certainly from 1724, if not before.

It has a fine no smoking restaurant with a varied menu prepared with the finest local ingredients, we also offer a la carte and bar snack menus and a specials board with fresh fish and local game. If you have any special dietary needs, just let us know. There is a large garden and ample parking. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the public bar and garden.

The privately owned, family run Broads Hotel is the perfect choice for weekends of sailing and evenings of dinning. The Broads Hotel is ideally situated for touring the beautiful Norfolk countryside, waterways and long coastline.

There are 28 rooms, but offered is a personal welcome only smaller establishments can provide.
