Location :~ The South West Region of England is surround on most sides by the sea and is often referred to as the southwest peninsula. It also includes the Channel Islands of Jersey, Guernsey, Aldernay, Sark and Herm.

The Main geographical features :~ The South West Peninsula has a long coastline and is generally warmer than the rest of Britain. To the east of the area lies Salisbury Plain with Stonehenge and the predominately farming counties of Dorset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.
