Our well stocked bar offer a wide selection of ales, lagers, spirits and fine wines. With its cosy, friendly atmosphere, it is perfect for socialising, or simply enjoying a quiet drink by yourself.

Traditional hot and cold bar snacks are served lunchtimes, and roast dinners on Sundays. In the bright and airy, non-smoking dining area, there is a large selection of continental and traditional English dishes; all freshly prepared using local produce where possible.

Welcome to The Crown Inn, our 16th century Public House and restaurant situated in the village of Groombridge, 3 miles from Tunbridge Wells. The Pub was built in 1585 and it is in an excellent position for exploring the south east of England.

The Crown Inn is one of the oldest Pubs in Britain, frequented in the eighteenth century by the infamous "Groombridge Smuggling Gang", who would meet in the wooden-beamed bar to plan their devious activities !

The bar is cosy and inviting, with blazing log fires in winter, and a separate "snug" area. There are also plenty of tables in the garden overlooking the village green for those long summer days.

A full range of drinks is available including a selection of fine wines and bottled and draught lagers. On tap we also serve local real ales "Harveys" and "Larkins", as well as the better known "Abbotts" and "IPA" bitters.

The bar has both smoking and non-smoking areas, and children are welcome. Well-behaved dogs are allowed in the bar but not in the restaurant.

Lovely wooden-beamed double and twin-bedded rooms are available, single £40.00, double £45 / 60.00 per room per night. Each room has a washbasin, one with en-suite facilities, tea / coffee making facilities, and the room rate includes a full English breakfast.

Meals are served between noon to 3 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm Monday to Saturdays. Sunday times noon to 3 pm.

The restaurant serves a variety of homemade meals and the specials change daily.
