The George and Dragon Hotel is located in the quaint market town of Kirkbymoorside, gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors between Helmsley and Pickering on the A 170. Lamb, which is highly recommended, is bred at the local farm located at the bottom of the hill from the Pub. Beef, pork, chicken and turkey are sourced from Yorkshire farms. All are naturally fed. Rare breed meats such as Saddleback pork, are often available. Wherever possible we always use locally produced fruit, vegetables and fish, and our cheeses are almost exclusively from Yorkshire dairy farms. |

Diane Horner and family welcome you to their friendly, comfortable Inn with its open fires and real ales. Situated on the cobbled street, just off the market place, within yards of the pathway, which takes the long distance Pennine Way, walk through the town. The six bedrooms are all on the first floor and residents have the use of a TV lounge and our private car park at the rear. Excellent home cooked food, chosen from our extensive menu, is served in the bar or very popular restaurant. A cosy lounge is available for residents use only. |
