There is good parking here at the Inn, including space for coaches by appointment.

The Bay Horse menus offer good Pub food in an unusually wide and extensive range of dishes carefully prepared from the best local produce. Choose from a tasty snack in our comfortable bar, or dine in style in our restaurant with a fine bottle of wine.

The Stamfordham Bay Horse is a modest, well-appointed Inn, and extends a welcome that is warm and personal. It has 6 tastefully decorated en-suite rooms, each with its own TV and hot drinks facilities.

The Inn dates back to around 1590, when it was a fortified farm. It then operated as a coaching Inn before its conversion to what you see today. Tales of tunnels contribute to the mystique of this unique location. You'll feel the strong ambience associated with the local countryside, which is steeped in the history of the ancient Romans and the Border Revilers.

At The Bay Horse we offer a wide and varied selection of home cooked cuisine. A new range of vegetarian dishes has also been added to our extensive menu.

Our delicious home cooked food can be washed down with one of our guest and cask conditioned ales of you can choose a bottle of our New World Wines or simply have a glass of our house wine.
